This was the first major project that was introduced to us at the beginning of the year. As a class, we were all supposed to make 3 different logos that could be used for this event. After making these logos for the whole week, the whole class was that one of the clients are going to coming in and see what we have come up with for this annual event.
Here was what I was told when they brought up this news, to bring everyone into the loop. You are going to create a logo for Sherry Mckibben's Mojito Golf Club Tournament & Pride Dinner. Most of my classmates in the class didn't read the guidelines where we were supposed to indicate Sherry in some time of form or fashion. After I took my time to read guidelines, this event was mainly made in the image for Sherry, as she made a big name for herself representing this city.
After practicing and perfecting the art of logo designing, I feel like I could've done better and could have taken more time into working on this logo. This is okay, for beginners who don't really have a good idea of what to make. Before the client came in, we had to pick our best logo and present it to the client. In the end, I choose to pick logo #2 for the reason that it is a simple logo with a bold message and a bold understanding of what the event was going to be. The only comment I took out of the client's mouth is that it pops and grabs your attention. The client also liked how I added the golf bag to replace the I and it was also different from other logos but of course, my logo wasn't the winner in the end. The logo you see below was the one that the client herself have hand picked with her other employees. The logo you see will be used for their event! There were tons of hardworking logos but only one could be chosen as the winner after 2 weeks of waiting for the final result! Congrats to the classmate who got their logo picked!
