Day 9: Tell us about a teacher who had a real impact on your life, either for the better or the worse. How is your life different today because of him or her?
A teacher who has impacted me is Ms.Parker. She was an English teacher at my high school and my English teacher at the academic upgrading school. She teaches differently than most English language art teacher. She absolutely takes the time to teach you how read, write and interpret literature properly. Most teachers just tell you to read a few chapters each day and just test you on what you read just a day before. Ms.Parker actually would dedicate an entire class talking about the stuff every individual in the class and take notes down. After all the notes and things we discuss in class, she would make us take all the notes we have taken down and actually start to write an essay about it. She has also taught me how to be sure to re-read all the stuff I write and edit it as many times as you need until you find no more errors in your work. From the times she started teaching me to the end, she has taught me that as long as put dedication in your work, you'll become a successful writer. My other high school English, language arts teachers don't expect much from you, they just expect you to read and expect you to read the book on your own time. Ms.Parker really cares about all of her students that she does get a chance to teach. She is basically like another mother to those who get to know her and have her as a teacher.
